The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join its successful Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-achieving students and contribute to a department known for its strong results and innovative teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to both GCSE and A-Level students.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Support the development of students’ scientific knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Science teaching and learning across the school.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Chemistry and Science education.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching Chemistry at both GCSE and A-Level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Strong record of student achievement and results.
- Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technology.
