The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join its successful Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-achieving students and contribute to a department known for its strong results and innovative teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to both GCSE and A-Level students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support the development of students’ scientific knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance Science teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Chemistry and Science education.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching Chemistry at both GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Strong record of student achievement and results.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technology.
