The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry or Biology Teacher to join a supportive and innovative faculty, delivering high-quality education at KS3, KS4, and Key Stage 5. This role offers the chance to shape young minds in a school that values professional growth and collaborative working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inspiring and engaging Chemistry or Biology lessons across all key stages.
  • Use formative and summative data to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching resources.
  • Support the school’s commitment to a growth mindset and Disruption Free Learning.
  • Contribute to the positive and orderly learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and staff wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assist with pastoral duties and student support where required.
  • Stay up to date with scientific advancements and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Chemistry or Biology.
  • Ability to teach across KS3, KS4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
  • Commitment to collaborative working and sharing of ideas.
  • Strong understanding of formative and summative assessment.
  • Belief in and experience with growth mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience with Disruption Free Learning strategies.
  • Previous involvement in ECT induction or mentorship.
  • Experience in using innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Passion for science and inspiring student curiosity.
