The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students at both GCSE and A level. The school is looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher who can inspire students and contribute to a department with consistently excellent results in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach A level and GCSE Mathematics, including Further Maths where required.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote high achievement and student progress.
- Support the continued success of a department with consistently high exam results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
- Proven ability to teach A level and GCSE Mathematics.
- Experience in delivering high-quality lessons that lead to strong student outcomes.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Further Maths at A level.
- Experience with ECTs or mentoring new teachers.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
