The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students at both GCSE and A level. The school is looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher who can inspire students and contribute to a department with consistently excellent results in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach A level and GCSE Mathematics, including Further Maths where required.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote high achievement and student progress.
  • Support the continued success of a department with consistently high exam results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the school’s wider community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to teach A level and GCSE Mathematics.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons that lead to strong student outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Further Maths at A level.
  • Experience with ECTs or mentoring new teachers.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom.
