The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Maths to join its dedicated team. This role includes the option to apply for the Maths Foundational Knowledge Lead (TLR3) position, which involves raising whole school outcomes in Maths and supporting students with significant learning gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inspiring and engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Monitor and report on progress, attainment, and curriculum access for identified students.
  • Ensure high expectations and consistent routines in all Maths classrooms.
  • Support students with significant gaps in prior learning through targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and develop resources.
  • Use formative and summative data to improve learning outcomes.
  • Promote a growth mindset across the school community.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Disruption Free Learning initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Primary School teaching.
  • Proven ability to deliver Maths lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to collaborative working and professional development.
  • Strong understanding of formative and summative data use in teaching.
  • Passion for Maths and a growth mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience as a Maths Lead or Key Stage 2 specialist.
  • Experience in the Maths Foundational Knowledge Lead (TLR3) role.
  • Background in innovative teaching strategies and Disruption Free Learning.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL).
