Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels
  • Support students in achieving excellent examination results through effective planning and assessment
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department to improve teaching and learning outcomes
  • Use ongoing assessment and feedback to drive student progress and attainment
  • Encourage a love of Physics through creative and innovative teaching methods
  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental initiatives
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities
  • Support the school’s mission and values, including its commitment to the Catholic ethos

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Physics
  • Experience teaching Physics at Key Stage 5
  • Commitment to high-quality planning and delivery of lessons
  • Ability to assess and provide meaningful feedback to support student progress
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to support the school’s Catholic ethos and values

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development
  • Familiarity with curriculum innovation and best practice in Science education
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or student enrichment programs
