The Opportunity:
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and educating students from Level 2 to A Level. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in the classroom and help shape the future of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Chemistry and other sciences to students across multiple levels.
- Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies that promote student success and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.
- Participate in professional development and stay up to date with current pedagogical practices.
- Support the school’s mission of promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or currently working towards it.
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and other sciences at Level 2 to A Level.
- Experience in teaching or a willingness to develop teaching skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting student success.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at sixth form or equivalent level.
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices and supporting diverse learners.
- Familiarity with current educational technologies and resources.
- Experience with curriculum development or leadership in teaching teams.
