Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Chemistry and other sciences to students across multiple levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies that promote student success and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.
  • Participate in professional development and stay up to date with current pedagogical practices.
  • Support the school’s mission of promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or currently working towards it.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and other sciences at Level 2 to A Level.
  • Experience in teaching or a willingness to develop teaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting student success.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at sixth form or equivalent level.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and supporting diverse learners.
  • Familiarity with current educational technologies and resources.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership in teaching teams.
