You will deliver engaging lessons, support students aged 16–19, and help prepare them for successful careers or further study in engineering. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of engineering topics.
  • Inspire and support students aged 16–19 to reach their full potential.
  • Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and innovation.
  • Keep up to date with current pedagogy and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver effective curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and college staff.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and student support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS) or be working towards gaining this.
  • Experience in teaching engineering or a related subject.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard engineering practices and technologies.
  • Experience in developing and delivering vocational or technical qualifications.
  • Experience in using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting students with diverse learning needs.
