The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and forward-thinking department as a Physics Teacher, inspiring students aged 16–19 and delivering high-quality lessons in Physics and Science. This is an exciting opportunity to support learners in achieving their academic and career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Physics lessons from Level 2 to A Level.
  • Support students in preparing for further study or careers in Physics and Science.
  • Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pedagogy and current practice in Physics education.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS) or working towards it.
  • Experience in teaching Physics at Level 2 to A Level.
  • Commitment to excellent teaching and student engagement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Demonstrated success in student achievement and progression.
  • Experience with digital learning tools and resources.
