Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mathematics Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student performance and engagement in Mathematics.
  • Provide professional development and support for Maths teachers across all key stages.
  • Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with the school’s educational goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the department.
  • Represent the Mathematics Faculty at school-level meetings and events.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote participation in Mathematics-related clubs and competitions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Head of Department, Second in Department, or Subject Leader in Mathematics.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of driving academic success.
  • Excellent knowledge of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy at all key stages.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team of teachers.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department to achieve high academic results.
  • Involvement in Mathematics competitions or extracurricular activities.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring in education.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
