The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our experienced team. This role involves teaching primary-aged students within a secondary school setting, with a focus on delivering a broad and engaging curriculum, including subjects such as Geography, History, and Religious Studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of students, ensuring differentiation and alignment with curriculum requirements.
  • Assess student progress using a variety of methods, including formative and summative assessments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student well-being and discipline in line with school policies.
  • Provide pastoral support and contribute to safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external organisations to support student learning and development.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and support colleagues.
  • Organise and participate in school events, clubs, and educational visits to enhance student engagement and experience.
  • Ensure a safe learning environment by following health and safety policies and maintaining risk assessments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Primary Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification/experience.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate students of all abilities and manage a diverse classroom.
  • Willingness to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS) and Child Protection Training.
  • Experience in teaching a broad range of subjects, including Geography, History, and Religious Studies.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students who have complex needs, including ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional support needs.
  • Experience in delivering individualised learning packages and supporting students with significant learning gaps.
  • Previous experience in a special educational needs setting or alternative education provision.

  • Competitive salary range from £32,916 to £45,352, depending on experience.
