Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Economics lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Support students in achieving their full academic potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Economics curriculum.
  • Participate actively in departmental and whole-school activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Economics field and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Economics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Economics at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values, including a focus on inclusivity and pastoral care.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening and other relevant checks.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong emphasis on holistic education.
  • Experience with teaching girls in a co-educational or single-sex setting.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support roles.
  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events.
