The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students across all Key Stages, with the opportunity to teach Further Mathematics to A level. This is a permanent role that offers flexibility in terms of hours and the chance to contribute to both academic and pastoral life within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and challenge the most able students.
  • Teach both Pure and Applied Mathematics at all Key Stages, including Further Mathematics at A level.
  • Take on a form tutor role and support students’ personal development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school, including leading or assisting in clubs and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics education.
  • Ability to teach Further Mathematics to A level, including both Pure and Applied Mathematics.
  • Experience in delivering lessons to students across a range of abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a strong co-curricular programme.
  • Experience with pastoral responsibilities, including form tutoring.
  • Background in continued professional development (CPD) and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
