The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a school dedicated to providing a high-quality education. This role involves teaching Key Stage 3 (General Science), Key Stage 4 (IGCSE Chemistry), and IBDP 1 Chemistry, with an emphasis on student engagement and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Key Stage 3 (General Science), Key Stage 4 (IGCSE Chemistry), and IBDP 1 Chemistry.
- Prepare and implement lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum of England and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback to students across Key Stages 3-5.
- Support students through form tutoring and pastoral care.
- Participate in continuous professional development and subject-specific training.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Stay up to date with developments in the Chemistry curriculum and pedagogy.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of inspiring education in a caring community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a minimum of category 1 IBDP certification in Chemistry.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum of England and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Fluency in English with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 3 (General Science), Key Stage 4 (IGCSE Chemistry), and IBDP 1 Chemistry.
- Ability to meet the needs and requirements of Key Stage 3-5 learners.
- Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience with form tutoring.
- Background in continuous professional development and teacher training.
- Familiarity with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) qualifications.
- Experience in an international or British curriculum setting.
