Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
- Prepare and assess students using a range of teaching and learning strategies.
- Support students in developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts and skills.
- Participate in form tutoring to build positive relationships with students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and student outcomes.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of inspiring education in a caring community.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 3 and 4 Science.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
- Fluency in English with a solid understanding of grammar and usage.
- Proven ability to meet the needs of Key Stage 3 and 4 learners.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
Preferred
- Experience with form tutoring.
- Background in teaching IGCSE Biology.
- Experience with the ECT process.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE and IB.
