The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Physics Teacher to join our team and support students from Key Stage 3 through to IBDP 1. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school that values innovation, professional growth, and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Key Stage 3 General Science, Key Stage 4 IGCSE Physics, and IBDP 1 Physics.
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum and IB standards.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and curriculum development.
- Engage in form tutoring to support student welfare and academic progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach.
- Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and integrate new teaching methodologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a minimum of category 1 IBDP certification in Physics.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum of England and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Fluency in English with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
- Proven experience teaching Key Stage 3 General Science, IGCSE Physics, and IBDP 1 Physics.
- Ability to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners across Key Stages 3–5.
Preferred
- Experience with form tutoring.
- Demonstrated success in continuous professional development.
- Familiarity with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) frameworks.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
