The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified History Teacher Key Stage 3 and 4 to join a dynamic and expanding school. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to students in Years 7-11, with a focus on the National Curriculum of England and the CIE IGCSE History course. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality History lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England and CIE IGCSE standards.
- Design and implement engaging and inclusive learning experiences for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the History curriculum.
- Support students through form tutoring and pastoral care when required.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 3 and 4 History.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and CIE IGCSE History.
- Fluent in English with a strong command of grammar and usage.
- Proven ability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
Preferred
- Experience with form tutoring.
- Background in continuous professional development and teacher training.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
- Experience in a British international school setting.
