The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Key Stage 3 and 4 PE Teacher to join our expanding department. This role involves delivering engaging PE lessons and leading extracurricular athletic activities, contributing to the holistic development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Key Stage 3 and 4 PE lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England and CIE IGCSE PE syllabus.
• Manage and develop extracurricular athletic clubs, teams, and activities for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
• Support students through form tutoring and pastoral care where applicable.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE department’s offerings and ensure a cohesive learning experience.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental training.
• Maintain accurate records and assess student progress in line with school standards.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Stay up to date with developments in PE pedagogy and curriculum requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Key Stage 3 and 4 PE.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of England and CIE IGCSE PE syllabus.
• Fluent in English with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
• Proven ability to meet the needs of Key Stage 3 and 4 learners.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

• Experience with form tutoring.
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
• Background in continuous professional development and teacher training.
• Experience in a British international school setting.
