The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English Literature and English Language across GCSE/iGCSE, A Level, and IB.
• Deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s ecological and sustainability ethos.
• Collaborate with the English department to develop and refine the curriculum.
• Moderate assessments and contribute to the creation of a comprehensive curriculum map.
• Support students of all abilities to achieve outstanding academic outcomes.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being.
• Encourage a lifelong love of learning and critical thinking through innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Native-level English language skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in English or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching English in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
• Proven track record of achieving outstanding GCSE and/or A Level results.
• Demonstrated ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching a diverse, multinational student body.
• Familiarity with project-based and experiential learning approaches.
• Passion for literature and a commitment to curriculum innovation.
