The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chemistry Tutor to inspire the next generation of scientists. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons across A Level, GCSE, and Applied Science courses.
- Support student progress and attainment through innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of science-related extra-curricular activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate new teaching methodologies into lessons.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to ongoing research and innovation in science education.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of work experience and enrichment programs for students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Chemistry subject knowledge.
- Experience in teaching A Level, GCSE, or Applied Science courses.
- Commitment to student progression and attainment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a sixth form or further education setting.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online learning platforms.
- Experience with extra-curricular science activities or work experience programs.
- Leadership or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
