The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chemistry Tutor to inspire the next generation of scientists. This role is ideal for experienced educators or those starting their teaching career, offering a supportive and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons across A Level, GCSE, and Applied Science courses.
  • Support student progress and attainment through innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of science-related extra-curricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Science department to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate new teaching methodologies into lessons.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to ongoing research and innovation in science education.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of work experience and enrichment programs for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Chemistry subject knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching A Level, GCSE, or Applied Science courses.
  • Commitment to student progression and attainment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a sixth form or further education setting.
  • Familiarity with digital teaching tools and online learning platforms.
  • Experience with extra-curricular science activities or work experience programs.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
