Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs in both classroom and resource provision settings
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual student needs
  • Monitor and record student progress and behavior
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
  • Undertake lunch and break duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on a range of duties

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of SEN support strategies and inclusive teaching practices
  • Experience with curriculum development or learning support
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children
