Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver safe, effective, and engaging lessons across the curriculum.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, ensuring individual needs are met through personalised learning programmes.
  • Promote inclusion and ensure all pupils are actively involved in learning experiences.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and apply it effectively in the classroom.
  • Engage in professional development and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Liaise with parents, colleagues, and external agencies to support student learning and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to and implement school policies and initiatives.
  • Manage pupil behaviour and foster a positive, respectful classroom environment.
  • Take part in school development projects and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of all learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with outdoor learning or enrichment activities.
  • Experience with professional development and reflective practice.
  • Knowledge of restorative approaches to behaviour management.
