Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons to Key Stage 5 students, ensuring a stimulating and engaging learning experience.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to co-plan, share best practices, and develop innovative teaching strategies.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed and achieve their full potential.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate new ideas and technologies into teaching.
- Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s vision for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design Technology at Key Stage 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative in professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering a research-informed curriculum.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on character development and student wellbeing.
- Experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Experience with teaching in a school with outstanding Ofsted ratings.
