Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Classical Guitar lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s educational goals.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Music Department to enhance the overall music programme.
  • Support students in achieving their musical potential through individual and group instruction.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and events that promote the school’s arts programme.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Stay current with developments in music education and incorporate new techniques and technologies into teaching.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in music or a related field, with a strong background in Classical Guitar.
  • Proven experience teaching Classical Guitar at the secondary or higher education level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and a holistic approach to education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital teaching tools and technologies.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting with a strong focus on wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of music theory and performance practice.
  • Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular music activities.
