The Opportunity:
As a Facilities Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth operation of the school's facilities, supporting the delivery of high-quality education and student wellbeing. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, functional, and inspiring environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of school buildings and facilities.
- Coordinate with external contractors and internal teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance and improvement projects.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety standards across all school premises.
- Develop and implement procedures for efficient use of resources and facilities.
- Support the school’s wellbeing programme by ensuring all spaces are conducive to student and staff wellbeing.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address facility-related needs.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for school operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, budgets, and facility usage.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
Preferred
- Experience with educational institutions or similar organisations.
- Familiarity with EdTech and digital learning environments.
- Understanding of wellbeing initiatives and their impact on school environments.
- Experience with managing budgets and resources effectively.
