The Opportunity:

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth operation of the school's facilities, supporting the delivery of high-quality education and student wellbeing. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, functional, and inspiring environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of school buildings and facilities.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and internal teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety standards across all school premises.
  • Develop and implement procedures for efficient use of resources and facilities.
  • Support the school’s wellbeing programme by ensuring all spaces are conducive to student and staff wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address facility-related needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for school operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, budgets, and facility usage.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.

Preferred

  • Experience with educational institutions or similar organisations.
  • Familiarity with EdTech and digital learning environments.
  • Understanding of wellbeing initiatives and their impact on school environments.
  • Experience with managing budgets and resources effectively.
