The Opportunity:

As a Classics Teacher, you will inspire students from Year 7 through to Oxbridge entry with your enthusiasm for Latin and the Classical world. You will contribute to a dynamic and innovative department that values diversity and encourages independent learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a full range of Classics subjects, including Latin and Greek, to students of all abilities.
  • Inspire and engage students through creative and stimulating teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a high-quality curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding academic results and preparing for higher education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent subject knowledge of Latin and the Classical world.
  • Experience teaching Classics at all levels, from Year 7 to Oxbridge entry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to fostering independent learning and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Greek.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and curriculum design.
  • Experience in pastoral care or co-curricular leadership.
  • Familiarity with assessment and examination processes at both GCSE and A Level.
