Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across the age and ability range.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s History curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities Faculty to enhance teaching and learning.
- Support students in achieving academic success and personal growth.
- Participate in pastoral or academic leadership roles, if applicable.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
- Encourage a love of learning and critical thinking in students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching History at the secondary level.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching a second subject.
- Leadership or pastoral experience within a school setting.
- Experience with pastoral or academic roles of responsibility.
- Familiarity with independent school environments.
