Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual and group students inside and outside the classroom to enhance their participation and well-being.
  • Promote a safe and healthy learning environment by proactively addressing health and safety concerns.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education programs and monitor student progress.
  • Provide support to students with additional needs, including emotional and behavioral challenges, and help build their social skills.
  • Assist teachers in maintaining accurate student records and preparing displays of students’ work.
  • Support teachers with administrative tasks such as photocopying and other classroom-related duties.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure student needs are met.
  • Attend staff meetings and follow school policies and procedures to maintain a cohesive team environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum secondary school certificate.
  • At least two years of experience in a school setting.

Preferred

  • Strong English language skills or fluency in the language used in the school curriculum.
  • Experience working with students who have additional support needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
