The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of a dynamic school. You will ensure a high-quality learning environment and support the school’s commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and quality assure staff and student activities to maintain a safe, orderly, and effective learning environment.
  • Support the implementation of the annual school assessment and monitoring master schedule in collaboration with senior leadership and department heads.
  • Lead student achievement improvement efforts aligned with the school development plan and ADEK regulations.
  • Implement and oversee the MAP/Exact Path student achievement plan and progress-based testing schedules.
  • Develop and manage processes for assessment, data collection, student records, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with ADEK standards and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive academic excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of student performance data to inform teaching and learning strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or B.Sc with PGCE; Master’s degree is desirable.
  • Minimum of 6 years of teaching experience, including 4 consecutive years of performance exceeding standards, as evidenced by appraisals.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a middle leadership role.
  • Proven ability to implement effective teaching and learning strategies to raise standards.
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to use data to diagnose learning gaps, intervene, and evaluate impact.

Preferred

  • Experience in a British curriculum setting.
  • Familiarity with ADEK regulations and school improvement planning.
  • Experience with student achievement programs such as MAP/Exact Path.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a diverse, inclusive, and culturally rich environment.
