Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain classrooms, common areas, and other school facilities to the required standards.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and stored in designated areas.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Site Supervisor immediately.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding and hygiene protocols.
• Assist with general duties as required, including preparing rooms for events or inspections.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly working environment at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently as required.
• Good standard of personal hygiene and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work during school hours and potentially outside of normal working hours when necessary.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

• Experience working in a school or similar environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and students.
• Experience with using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
