The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working IT Technician to provide first-line IT support to staff, students, and visitors. This full-year role offers the opportunity to contribute to the school’s digital infrastructure while supporting the Senior IT Technician and IT Systems and Facilities Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line IT support to staff, students, and visitors across the school community.
• Install and configure computer hardware and software in line with school requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues efficiently and effectively.
• Prioritise and manage technical problems with a clear focus on resolution and impact.
• Support the Senior IT Technician and IT Systems and Facilities Lead in maintaining IT systems.
• Develop skills in editing photographs and videos for use across school platforms.
• Ensure timely and high-quality outputs for school communications and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• English and Maths GCSE graded 9-4/A*-C (or equivalent).
• Experience in installing and configuring computer hardware and software.
• Experience in software installation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to prioritise and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Ability to provide clear and concise guidance to others with sensitivity to different levels of expertise.

Preferred

• Experience in editing photographs and videos for use in educational settings.
• Willingness to develop skills in multimedia production for school use.
• Experience with IT systems in an educational environment.
