The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working IT Technician to provide first-line IT support to staff, students, and visitors. This full-year role offers the opportunity to contribute to the school’s digital infrastructure while supporting the Senior IT Technician and IT Systems and Facilities Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support to staff, students, and visitors across the school community.
- Install and configure computer hardware and software in line with school requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues efficiently and effectively.
- Prioritise and manage technical problems with a clear focus on resolution and impact.
- Support the Senior IT Technician and IT Systems and Facilities Lead in maintaining IT systems.
- Develop skills in editing photographs and videos for use across school platforms.
- Ensure timely and high-quality outputs for school communications and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- English and Maths GCSE graded 9-4/A*-C (or equivalent).
- Experience in installing and configuring computer hardware and software.
- Experience in software installation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to prioritise and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Ability to provide clear and concise guidance to others with sensitivity to different levels of expertise.
Preferred
- Experience in editing photographs and videos for use in educational settings.
- Willingness to develop skills in multimedia production for school use.
- Experience with IT systems in an educational environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £27,694 to £29,540.
