The Opportunity:
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that all school sites across Leeds, Bradford, Greater Manchester, and Liverpool meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This is a vital role in supporting the school’s mission to create a positive learning environment for students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the cleaning team to ensure all areas of the school are maintained to the highest standards.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety protocols across all sites.
- Coordinate with the Business Services team to ensure cleaning schedules and procedures are followed consistently.
- Conduct regular inspections and report on the condition of school facilities.
- Provide guidance and support to cleaning staff to improve performance and motivation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant cleaning and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with site managers to address any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, consumables, and any incidents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a cleaning supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a school environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience within a multi-academy trust or large educational institution.
- Familiarity with flexible working arrangements and hybrid working models.
- Experience in managing and developing a team of staff.
- Understanding of the importance of hygiene and cleanliness in educational settings.
