Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Plan and deliver lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
- Support the wider school community by contributing to extracurricular activities and student enrichment programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Work closely with pastoral teams to support student behaviour and overall wellbeing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching science at the appropriate level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development or innovative teaching methods.
- Familiarity with science education technologies and resources.
- Experience in pastoral support or student mentoring.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation strategies.
