Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Governing Body in upholding the school’s Christian ethos and Anglican values.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and the implementation of Haileybury 2030.
  • Engage with the leadership team and other governors to ensure the school’s priorities are effectively addressed.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
  • Participate in meetings, discussions, and reviews that shape the direction of the school.
  • Encourage diversity and inclusion within the Governing Body and across the school community.
  • Support the school in maintaining its commitment to academic excellence and co-curricular development.
  • Represent the school’s values in external engagements and community interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Active membership of the clergy.
  • A strong commitment to the Christian faith and the Anglican tradition.
  • Experience in governance or leadership within an educational or religious context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to undergo child protection vetting and criminal record checks.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with young people or in educational leadership.
  • Familiarity with independent school governance and policy-making.
  • A background in pastoral care or spiritual leadership.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
