The Opportunity:
As a Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality Design & Technology curriculum at GCSE and A-Level. You will join a successful and growing department, contributing to the school’s continued improvement and helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Design & Technology to GCSE and A-Level students.
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge through innovative teaching methods.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them succeed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
- Promote the school’s values, including respect, inclusion, and high standards of behaviour.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that support student engagement and learning.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s Christian principles.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design & Technology.
- Ability to teach GCSE and A-Level qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s Christian values and inclusive ethos.
- Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student learning.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Design & Technology.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
- Familiarity with teaching apprenticeships or supporting trainee teachers.
- Experience in safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
