As the Head of Computer Science, you will lead the development of a dynamic and innovative department, ensuring the integration of educational technology across the school. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Computer Science Department, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality student experience.
  • Develop and implement a modern curriculum that meets the needs of a digital world.
  • Promote the use of educational technology across the school and support staff in its effective integration.
  • Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 to the highest standards.
  • Contribute to the Middle Leadership team, attending meetings and supporting the overall vision of the school.
  • Support student well-being through form tutoring, mentoring, and PSMEE teaching.
  • Engage in co-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science, ICT, and Online Safety.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in departmental leadership.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality curricula.
  • Experience in teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Commitment to student well-being and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with educational technology and its integration into teaching.
  • Background in leading curriculum development or innovation projects.
  • Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular leadership.
  • Familiarity with ISI reporting standards and school improvement processes.
