The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting students who experience barriers to learning, including those with EHCPs. You will conduct structured observations and contribute to the diagnostic process, ensuring personalized and effective intervention planning. This is a key role in helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in-class and during one-to-one sessions to enhance their learning outcomes.
- Conduct structured observations across lessons to gather evidence for intervention planning.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop personalized learning strategies.
- Contribute to the diagnostic process through accurate and insightful observations.
- Support students during examinations, parent meetings, and school events when required.
- Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with colleagues and parents.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Work closely with the school’s pastoral and support teams to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Prior experience working with students who have learning barriers in a school setting.
- Ability to conduct structured observations and contribute to diagnostic processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Preferred
- Experience with EHCPs and special educational needs.
- Familiarity with CPOMS or similar referral systems.
- Background in education or related fields.
- Experience in developing and implementing intervention strategies.
