The Opportunity:

As a Facilities Assistant, you will support the smooth operation of a school by performing a variety of essential duties, including minor maintenance, housekeeping, and student transportation. This role ensures the safety and punctuality of students and contributes to a welcoming and secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the school through a range of duties.
• Assist with minor maintenance and housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Safely transport students to and from school, ensuring they arrive and are collected on time.
• Provide porterage and security support as required.
• Rotate shifts across early, standard, and late hours, including occasional weekends.
• Work collaboratively with the Operations and Professional Services team to maintain school standards.
• Adhere to all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for student transportation.

Preferred

• Previous experience in school operations or facilities management.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience with maintenance or cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with school systems and processes.
