The Opportunity:
As a Combined Cadet Force Support and Shooting Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the CCF contingent. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of students through leadership, discipline, and outdoor activities, while upholding the high standards of the school and its values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the day-to-day operations of the Combined Cadet Force contingent.
- Oversee and coordinate shooting activities, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to cadets, promoting discipline, leadership, and personal development.
- Work closely with the Contingent Commander to maintain the standards and objectives of the CCF.
- Organize and lead training sessions, events, and exercises that align with the school’s educational goals.
- Ensure all CCF activities are conducted in a professional, safe, and inclusive manner.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to CCF operations and activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall mission and values of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a military or similar structured environment, preferably within the Combined Cadet Force.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people and adults alike.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- High standards of personal conduct, integrity, and professionalism.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in outdoor education, shooting, or youth development.
Preferred
- Experience in managing and training cadets in a school or military setting.
- Familiarity with the structure and operations of the Combined Cadet Force.
- Knowledge of shooting sports and safety procedures.
- Experience in supporting the development of leadership and life skills in young people.
