The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Maths Teacher to join its Mathematics Department and support students in achieving excellent GCSE, AS, and A Level results. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE, AS, and A Level Mathematics to a range of students.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Support students in developing their mathematical skills and confidence.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental performance.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Experience teaching GCSE, AS, and A Level Mathematics.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
  • Minimum four days a week / 0.8 FTE availability from 24 August 2026.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a sixth form college or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Demonstrated ability to support student progression and achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
