Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in developing communication and language skills through engaging and inclusive teaching methods.
- Assist in planning and delivering lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to create a positive and motivating learning environment for all students.
- Promote the inclusion of all pupils and ensure that every student feels valued and supported.
- Contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of students in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff and parents.
- Support the school’s Catholic ethos and values through active involvement in school life.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE grade C or Level 2 equivalent in English and Mathematics.
- Experience working with relevant age groups in a learning environment.
- NVQ 2 in Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Training in relevant learning strategies such as Literacy.
Preferred
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies for communication and language development.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Understanding of the Catholic ethos and values.
