Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in mainstream classes in a calm and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a consistent and supportive learning experience.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized learning activities tailored to students’ needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to the SEN Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the Inclusion Department to implement strategies that support student success.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support the Inclusion Department.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A valid DBS check and positive references.

Preferred

  • Experience in a mainstream classroom setting.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and practices.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery for students with diverse needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
