Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3, GCSE and A Level.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the latest industry practices and technologies.
- Manage and maintain teaching resources and equipment, including CAD/CAM tools and 3D printing facilities.
- Support student learning through effective assessment, feedback, and individualised support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental development.
- Promote the school’s Catholic ethos and values within the classroom and wider school community.
- Participate in continuing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Design Technology at KS3, GCSE and A Level.
- Strong knowledge of Design Technology subjects, including Product Design, Food, Textiles, and workshop materials, tools and processes.
- Experience with CAD/CAM technologies such as 3D printing and laser cutting.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Strong track record in raising student achievement and attainment.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
