The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Computer Science Teacher to join our dynamic IT Department. The role involves teaching across key stages and inspiring students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a rapidly evolving digital world. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across key stages, ensuring engaging and challenging learning experiences.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a passion for technology and digital literacy.
  • Plan and deliver innovative and creative lessons that align with the school’s mission and curriculum requirements.
  • Support the development of students’ problem-solving and analytical skills through practical and theoretical approaches.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and Trust to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued growth.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Computer Science and incorporate new technologies into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Computer Science.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across key stages.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and mission.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages and digital tools.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
