The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher with Curriculum Responsibility to join our successful department. This role offers the chance to shape teaching and learning across the school, while supporting the development of colleagues through high-quality professional learning. You will play a key role in driving academic excellence and ensuring a strong foundation in mathematics for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support the implementation of the maths curriculum across all key stages.
- Lead and contribute to whole-school teaching and learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance professional development and share best practices.
- Design and deliver numeracy interventions to support student progress at Key Stage 3.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student achievement and development.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects the school’s Catholic ethos.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant maths experience.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students.
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to whole-school teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience with numeracy interventions or Key Stage 3 curriculum development.
- Familiarity with the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust and its values.
- Experience in supporting staff professional development.
