Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Computer Science and Digital Media lessons that align with the school’s vision for digital fluency.
- Support students in achieving academic success through innovative teaching methods and the use of technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computing curriculum and contribute to the development of the subject area.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
- Promote the use of iPads and digital tools across the curriculum, ensuring students are equipped with the skills needed for the modern world.
- Participate in the school’s professional development and leadership opportunities, including potential TLR subject leadership roles.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students through tutor responsibilities and involvement in year teams and houses.
- Engage in continuous improvement through CPD and collaboration with other departments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science or Digital Media.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to raising academic achievement and supporting student learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience in delivering engaging and innovative lessons.
Preferred
- Experience with TLR subject leadership or leadership roles.
- Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in education.
- Experience with teaching Digital Media or related subjects.
- Background in developing and implementing curriculum initiatives.
- Experience with international or alternative education programs.
