Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging computer science lessons that inspire students and improve outcomes.
- Support the school’s mission to ensure all students are ‘Ready for University, Ready to Lead’.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning in the department.
- Design and implement strategies to increase student confidence and performance in computer science.
- Stay up to date with developments in computer science education and integrate innovative teaching methods.
- Work closely with students to build their numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to the school’s improvement journey through shared planning and professional development.
- Support the school’s values and ethos through consistent behavior and high expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience teaching computer science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (GCSE level).
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
- Commitment to the school’s vision of preparing students for university and leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working in a values-led or multi-academy trust (MAT) environment.
- Experience with integrating technology into teaching and learning.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
