We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking school committed to academic excellence and character development. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, interactive lessons for Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, including programming, computational thinking, and data literacy.
- Support the development of KS2 curriculum and help build foundational digital skills.
- Promote the creative use of technology in and outside the classroom.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment planning, and the integration of emerging technologies.
- Support students’ personal growth by encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and resilience.
- Actively promote the safeguarding and welfare of all students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Establish effective working relationships and set a good example through professional conduct.
- Contribute to the life of the school through participation in meetings and management systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and practical experience with programming languages, hardware, or IT systems.
- Experience teaching across multiple key stages, ideally from KS3 to KS5.
- Passion for inspiring young people and creating inclusive, engaging learning environments.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment planning.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in education.
- Background in safeguarding and student welfare.
