Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Latin and Greek across a range of year groups in the senior school.
- Inspire and support students to reach their academic potential and engage in co-curricular activities related to the classical world.
- Contribute to the development of the Classics Department and the wider school community.
- Deliver lessons that go beyond exam specifications to enrich students’ intellectual experiences.
- Support students through pastoral care and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
- Encourage student involvement in challenges, competitions, and societies related to Classics.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent subject knowledge in Latin and Greek.
- A strong commitment to inspiring and supporting students.
- Strong pastoral instincts and a dedication to safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Preferred
- Prior experience teaching Latin and Greek in a secondary school setting.
