The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a school and inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This role offers the chance to deliver innovative lessons in subjects such as Citizenship, Geography, and PRE, while contributing to a culture of excellence and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a broad range of humanities subjects at Key Stage 3 and 4, including Citizenship, Geography, and PRE, with some Politics at Key Stage 5.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and creative lessons that support student achievement and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and improve outcomes for all students.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized teaching and pastoral care.
- Participate in continuous professional development and school-wide initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress regularly.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values the well-being of all students and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in humanities subjects.
- Proven ability to raise student achievement and support student success.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education.
- Experience in delivering curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Politics at Key Stage 5.
- Experience with PRE (Personal, Social and Health Education) curriculum.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with continuous professional development and leadership in teaching.
- Familiarity with the Girls’ Learning Trust and its values.
