The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a successful department. This role will involve teaching across all year groups, including the Sixth Form, and contributing to the co-curricular programme. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team and have the opportunity to inspire and develop talented students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science across all key stages, including the Sixth Form.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support students’ academic and personal development as a form tutor.
- Contribute to the co-curricular programme by leading or participating in activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students within the form group.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong degree in a relevant subject area.
- Commitment to inspiring and challenging students.
- Willingness to take on a pastoral role as a form tutor.
- Ability to contribute to the co-curricular programme.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Computer Science or a related subject.
- Experience with teaching students of all ages and abilities.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willingness to pursue it.
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
- Strong understanding of current trends and technologies in Computer Science education.
